Features

Traditions on the phone

Read about Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, Shinto, Taoism, Confucianism, the Baha'i Faith and atheism. Each one has a short foundation, sacred texts, stories, teachings and festivals.

Visit, greet, and look up a word

A visiting guide explains how to be a respectful guest. A greetings page shows how people greet one another. The glossary explains a word, and Listen speaks it with the phone's own voice.

Compare two traditions

Choose two traditions and read them side by side, including threads they share. Shared threads do not mean the traditions are the same. The pages do not rank one faith above another.

The story

Why I built this

I wanted a calm place to read about a faith, look up a word, or compare two traditions, without an account and without the reading leaving the phone.

FAQ

Is this the full scripture?

No. Faith Explorer introduces texts such as the Bible, the Qur'an, the Vedas, the Guru Granth Sahib and others. It is an educational summary, not the full scripture and not a service of worship.

Does it rank one faith above another?

No. The pages explain what people in a tradition believe. Where followers disagree, the text says so.

Does my reading leave the phone?

No. A name, bookmarks and the reading passport stay on this phone. You can clear them in Settings.

Which languages does it use?

English, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati and Urdu. Text size, line spacing and a light or dark theme are in Settings.
