Inside the app

Features

Point the phone at a label, a menu, a medicine bottle or a serial number and zoom until it is readable.

Turn on the flashlight in a dim room. Freeze the picture if holding still is hard. High contrast helps when the print is faint.

On a frozen frame, the app can recognise Latin text and read it aloud in English. The camera view stays on the phone.

The story

I wanted a magnifier I could open, point and read, with light when the page is dark and a way to hold the picture still.

Before you install

Can I use the phone as a magnifying glass?

Yes. Point the camera and zoom.

Does it have a flashlight and a freeze button?

Yes. The flashlight lights the page, and freeze holds the frame still.

Can it read text aloud?

On a frozen frame it can recognise Latin text and speak it in English.

Does it need an account?

No. The camera view stays on the phone.
